give the gift of hopeWhen “Sam” first attended Rancho San Antonio’s outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Program he was just 13 years old, and he barely spoke. He wouldn’t make eye contact. He asked, again and again, when his session would be over.

He’d already been discharged from other programs —because he didn’t believe he could be helped.

At home, where he lived with his mother, things were heartbreaking. Sam would disappear for days. Desperate to know if he was safe, his mother would call the police. During those absences, he turned to substances. He’d stopped attending school for the last three years.

Fast forward to 2025…

Now Sam is 15 years old, back in school — and working hard to catch up. He opens up in therapy. He connects with staff. And when he walks into our program, he brings his emotional support dog, a steady and calming companion who’s been with him since she was a puppy.

This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It took time. Trust. A team that never gave up. And most of all, it took you.

Because of your generosity, we were able to provide Sam’s family with food, clothing, hygiene items, and the kind of consistent support that made healing possible.

Sam hasn’t run away in months. He’s showing up — to school, to treatment, and to his own life.

His journey hasn’t been easy – but because Sam has support, he has been able to Risk, Change, Grow.

Since 1933, Rancho San Antonio has empowered youth like Sam with the tools, mentorship, and encouragement they need to take control of their future, one step at a time.

As 2026 approaches, will you help us continue this life-changing work?

Thanks to generous individuals like you, in the past year:

  • Rancho served more than 875 youth and families with trauma-informed residential and community-based programs.
  • More than 37,000 therapeutic sessions and interventions were provided.
  • 92% of youth reported being satisfied with the services they received.

Your donations make an immediate impact: for every dollar donated, 90 cents goes directly to program services and support.

As the year draws to a close, we ask you to consider making a tax-deductible gift before December 31. Your support ensures that we can continue offering consistent guidance, encouragement, and the tools our youth need to succeed.

You can make a difference in a way that works best for you:
