Substance Use Services

Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
Treatment Program

Rancho has a contract with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) as an Outpatient/Intensive Outpatient SUD Treatment Program offering prevention and early intervention as well as recovery services for youth ages 12-20.

Counselors and therapists work with teens (12 – 17 years old) and young adults (18 – 20 years old) who have experienced issues with family life, school, and work due to substance abuse. Rancho San Antonio’s program also provides drug treatment for pregnant/parenting teens and parenting young adults.

Our program is designed as a life recovery model that uses best practice principles of treatment such as assessment, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, individual, family and group therapy.

SUD services are trauma informed and utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety as evidence-based practices (EBPs). When clinically appropriate, the SUD team collaborates with psychiatrists for Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT).

Rancho also collaborates with the Los Angeles County Superior Court Juvenile Drug Court. Drug courts combine intensive judicial supervision, mandatory drug testing, treatment, and incentives to help youth with substance abuse break the cycle of addiction and crime.
